What’s a Gincident, you ask? It’s an event that happened due to one too many gins. While we all know someone who has experienced a few Gincidents themselves, have you ever been to a festival dedicated entirely to the humble juniper berry and its many, unique variations of consumption?

South Australia is the “Festival State” and the “Gin State”, so what better way to celebrate such titles than to have a Gin Festival?

In 2018 inside the Flour Shed, the main bar – “Ginsational” – was run by one of Adelaide’s favourite gin dens, The Howling Owl, making gin cocktails with some of the finest Australian Gins. Festival goers will again be able to try free samples from around 20 different gin distillers. Gin lushes enjoyed the beauty of the garnish bar, hosted by Fever Tree tonic and Adelaide bar, Haines & Co.

There will be a selection of amazing local food vendors, to let you dine with friends inside the Flour Shed and Hart’s Mill building. Gincident will keep you warm on the wharf with craft stalls and Special Gin batches!

2018 – Some of the Gintastic companies sharing their Gin at the Festival will include, Prohibition Liquor Co., Archie Rose, Four Pillars, Adelaide Hills Distillery, McHenry, Cape Byron, Never Never, Kangaroo Island Gin, Animus Distillery, Luxe Wine + Spirits, Martin Distillation Co., Reed & Co. and 36 Short.

Can I enjoy my Gin with some live music?
You certainly can! There will be live entertainment throughout the event.

Will there be food?
Yes indeed! Some of the best food vans in Adelaide, no less. Delicious food to enjoy with amazing Gin.
